This Privacy Policy describes how Linx ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

We collect the following types of information:

• Name and username
• Profile photo
• Handicap (optional)
• Bio (optional)
• Home course (optional)

2. Golf Activity Data

• Golf rounds (scores, courses played, ratings, notes)
• Course reviews and ratings
• Photos uploaded to rounds
• Playing partners tagged in rounds
• Courses bookmarked

3. Social Information

• Users you follow and who follow you
• Likes and comments on posts
• Direct messages (if applicable)

4. Location Information

• Approximate location for course search and map features
• GPS coordinates when using the map

5. Device and Usage Information

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• Crash reports and error logs
• Analytics data (usage patterns, features used)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the App
• Create and manage your account
• Enable you to post rounds, reviews, and interact with other users
• Show you relevant courses and content
• Send you notifications (if enabled)
• Improve the App and develop new features
• Analyze usage patterns and fix bugs
• Respond to your requests and provide customer support
• Enforce our Terms of Service

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We share your information in the following ways:

1. Public Information

• Your profile (name, username, photo, bio, handicap, home course) is visible to other Linx users
• Your posted rounds, reviews, ratings, photos, and notes are visible to other Linx users
• Your followers and following list may be visible to other users

2. With Other Users

• When you tag playing partners, they can see they were tagged
• When you like or comment on posts, other users can see your activity

3. With Service Providers

• Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) - US-based servers
• Google Places API (course search and maps)
• Expo (analytics, crash reporting, push notifications)

4. We Do NOT:

• Sell your personal information to anyone
• Share your data with advertisers
• Share your email or phone number with other users

5. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or to:

• Comply with legal process
• Enforce our Terms of Service
• Protect the rights, property, or safety of Linx, our users, or others

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account:

• Your profile and public content will be removed
• Some data may be retained in backups for up to 90 days
• Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics

Your Choices and Rights

You have the following rights:

• Access: View your personal information in your profile
• Correction: Update your information in profile settings
• Deletion: Delete your account and associated data
• Opt-out: Disable push notifications in device settings
• Location: Disable location services in device settings

Children's Privacy

Linx is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at hello@linxgolf.app.

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information:

• Secure data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Encrypted data storage via Supabase
• Secure authentication
• Regular security updates

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Data Transfers

Your information is stored on servers located in the United States. If you access the App from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the new policy in the App
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending a notification (for material changes)

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
